A camp classic led by Camp Counselor Cass! This class is a guided, hands-on crafting experience where students learn to design, knot and weave colorful threads into personalized, wearable jewelry. Summer Camp: Knot Tying
Swing by to learn a handful of classic camp knots with Rob! This class is a hands-on workshop that teaches participants how to select, tie and safely apply essential knots, bends and hitches. Campers will learn the practical applications of ropes in the outdoors, boating and survival. You’ll learn 5 knots and practice with your own piece of rope.
Summer Camp: Clay Critters Class
Join us to design and make your own clay critter (or critter dish) hosted by Alexa McAdams Art! In this workshop, participants will build and decorate their own clay critters. Each ticket secures you the supplies and instruction to create your very own animal (or animal dish) out of clay (as well as a BOGO beer coupon!) We will then take your creations and bring them back to our studio to be fired. Once they are processed, you can pick them up at Wandering Leaf Brewing.

Go behind the scenes with our brewing team for a guided tour and exclusive tasting. Explore the brewhouse, sample beers, and learn what goes into each pint. Taste the malt, smell hops, and talk final tasting notes with finished beer! This class will be led by Wandering Leaf Founder and Head Brewer Matt Holton and Pen Name Fermentation Project Founder and Head Brewer Mat Waddell.

Join us for an evening of summer fun at our Beer Poking & Bonfire Day! Gather around the fire to try the unique tradition of beer poking. Beer poking or Bierstacheln is a traditional German event where a blacksmith (or a head brewer) inserts a hot metal poker into your beer and stirs! This naturally caramelizes the beer bringing out the soft, creamy, marshmallow-like flavor! Free to attend! *Weather permitting

Join us for a relaxing and colorful Sip & Create workshop at Wandering Leaf Brewing Co. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll design and assemble your own vibrant stained-glass–style mosaic on a wood panel — all while enjoying your favorite beer in the taproom.
Choose your glass pieces, plan your layout, and learn how to cut and arrange your mosaic with guidance from Michelle of Owl’s Eye Art Collective. Your piece will cure overnight, and you’ll take home a grout kit so you can finish it once it’s fully dry.

In this relaxed, beginner-friendly Print & Sip class, you’ll learn the basics of linocut block printing while enjoying great beer.
You’ll design and carve your own linoleum block, then hand-print your design onto either a canvas tote bag or a throw pillow cover to take home. No experience needed — just come ready to sip, carve, and stamp.

Jigsaw Puzzle Contest with Sarah Does Puzzles
See how fast your team can put together a 500 piece puzzle. There will be prizes!
Build a team of up to 4 people and see how quickly you can complete a 500 piece puzzle. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishing teams. There will also be door prizes. All teams get to keep their competition puzzle.
HOW DOES IT WORK:
Each team will receive the same puzzle concealed in a bag. No one will see the puzzle before the timer starts. After a countdown, teams will open their boxes and start puzzling. A competition judge will monitor teams and record finishing times. Once you have completed your puzzle, you may leave, or stay and work on another puzzle and enjoy a drink or two!
RULES:
You may eat and drink while competing
You may use box top holders and sorting trays
You are allowed to bring extra lighting as long as it does not need to be plugged in to an outlet and does not interfere with the lighting for other competitors. These are great lights to use: https://amzn.to/3IAWd7S
You are not allowed to distract or interfere with other teams
DETAILS:
6-7pm: Optional casual puzzling happy hour. Grab a drink and a snack and warm up for the main event! Practice puzzles will be provided.

$40 per team
There are no refunds, but if you are not able to make the event, we can arrange pick-up for your contest puzzle.

Brewery Blitz Chess
Brewery Blitz is a group that hosts monthly casual chess tournaments at local Twin Cities breweries. See full details below:
Tournament Information
Location: Wandering Leaf
Start time: 7:00pm
Prizes: $60 in gift cards.
Sections: Choose the section that best fits your online/USCF rating. We have a "local" rating system that is unique to our club (it has no impact on any official chess ratings). Once you play a few games, you will be given a rating that can help you decide which section to choose.

Entry fee is $10. This includes one free drink.
If registering within 48 hours, the entry fee is $15. No refunds given during this time.
Game Format
Games are 5 minutes + 2 second increment blitz matches.
It is a Double-Swiss format which means you will play each opponent two times (once as white, once as black).
There are 10 rounds. You will play 5 different opponents twice so rounds 1 and 2 are against your first opponent, 3 and 4 against you second, etc.
This event is meant to be casual. If an illegal move happens, pause the clock, point it out, and take the move back. If it happens twice in one match you may claim a win.
We play clock move, meaning your turn is done when you hit the clock.
